Without a few extra hands, we’re all just a pile of building blocks…
To serve our members, benefit our community, and support our toy accessibility and sustainability-based mission, we’re constantly shaping our toy library collection and growing our scholarship list of families. Here are a few ways where your support can really make a difference.
Donate new or gently preloved toys and games. In most cases, we can arrange a free pick-up for toys, games and other play experiences that meet our toy library criteria. This includes new or “like new”, indoor and outdoor items that support developmental play for ages 0-6+ years. We do not accept broken or recalled items and most stuffed animals or books (though we’re always on the hunt for more diversity and inclusive-leaning material). If we receive items that do not fit our toy library criteria, we try our best to donate them elsewhere, whether another organization or a local family.
Sell us your unused and/or gently loved toys and games. Have your kids grown out of their amazing toys and games? Do you have more toys than you can handle? If they’re in great condition (new or like-new) and fit our toy library criteria, consider selling them at a discount to The Toyary. Nothing makes us happier than keeping quality, engaging toys out of the dump (or storage) and giving them a long life of making other kids happy!
Give the gift of a toy library membership. Consider gifting a membership to The Toyary for a family you know. If you don’t have a family in mind, please do consider sponsoring a scholarship membership to a family on our list.
Ask us about our toy wishlist. We maintain a wishlist of items for The Toyary. These items can include new additions to our collection, play experiences that our members have specifically requested, and items or missing parts that just need to be replaced.
Help us spread the word! If you’re a fan of what we’re doing, we THANK YOU and hope you’ll join us in helping to spread the word—whether through your own networks, Facebook or Instagram! The more folks that know about us, the more children can benefit and the bigger our toy library collection can grow. Also, we just love to see how our toys and games are being enjoyed to promote fun and learning for our members.
